Experience makes us wiser, better and stronger. It makes us who we are. At age 36, I haven’t fully learned about life, but here are some things I wish I knew at age 20.
LEARN TO SAY NO
When I was younger, I had a difficult time saying “NO”. I thought I was being uncool and would end up disappointing people whenever I disagree or if I said “NO”. Now I realize that when it comes to making decisions, the primary consideration should always be “Am I comfortable with saying YES to it?”. If the answer is a resounding “No”, then “No” it is.
START SAVING AND INVESTING MONEY
My older sister used to support me financially. While I did enjoy spending all those cash on beach trips, food, and books, I wish I started securing my future during my 20s when insurance premiums were lower. Therefore, enjoy your money but start investing early. Just be on the lookout for investments scams!
